Strawberry Cream Pie

¾ cup water
1 cup sugar
3 TBSP cornstarch
3 TBSP light corn syrup
4 TBSP Strawberry Jell-O
2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced in half
2 cups sour cream
1 banana, sliced
2/3 cup crushed walnuts

Mix the water, sugar, corn syrup, and cornstarch together in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook till thick. Remove from heat. Stir in the strawberry Jell-O. Add the sliced strawberries. Spread half the sour cream, covering as much of the sour cream on the bottom of a baked and cooled pie crust (I use the coconut pie crust for this). Place the bananas on top of the sour cream, covering as much of the sour cream as possible. Pour the strawberry mixture on top. Carefully dollop the remaining sour cream in the middle of the strawberries leaving 1” strawberries showing around the edge of the pie plate. Place the nuts in the middle of the sour cream. Chill 4 hours and serve.
